She and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism on Tuesday that Germany lifted a travel ban on its citizens to the tourist city of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.
Germany was warned its citizens not to travel to the coastal city of Sharm el-Sheikh last February, after the killing of three tourists from South Korea in a bomb blast targeting a tourist bus in southern Sinai, near the border crossing with Israel. He described the Egyptian Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou, a step the German side in a press release, as "a step in the right direction to restore the movement of incoming tourist."
Zaazou said: "Communication is still ongoing and intense with all European countries so as to lift the ban on travel to Sharm el-Sheikh."
